Nichrome wire is a high-resistance, silvery-grey alloy primarily composed of nickel (\(Ni\)) and chromium (\(Cr\)). It is characterized by excellent corrosion resistance, high heat resistance (up to \(1200^{\circ}C\)), and strong resistance to oxidation. Due to these properties, it is widely utilized as a heating element in toasters, hair dryers, heaters, and lab equipment.
