Infrared Heaters

Infrared heaters are a type of heating device that uses infrared radiation to warm objects and spaces efficiently. Unlike traditional heating methods that rely on convection to heat the air, infrared heaters emit infrared rays that directly heat surfaces, objects, and people within their line of sight. This method of heating is highly effective and offers several advantages for various applications, from residential to industrial settings.

Types of Infrared Heaters:

  1. Quartz Infrared Heaters: These use quartz tubes filled with gas to produce infrared radiation. They are known for their quick heating capabilities and are commonly used in residential settings and small commercial spaces.
  2. Ceramic Infrared Heaters: These utilize ceramic elements to produce infrared heat. They are valued for their durability and even heat distribution, making them suitable for larger areas or as supplemental heating in homes and offices.
  3. Carbon Infrared Heaters: These use carbon fibers or rods to generate infrared radiation. They offer long-lasting performance and are often used in both indoor and outdoor applications due to their efficiency and low maintenance requirements.

Applications: Infrared heaters are versatile and can be used in various settings:

  • Residential: For warming rooms, patios, or specific zones within a home.
  • Commercial: To heat workspaces, warehouses, or retail environments where targeted heating is required.
  • Industrial: For curing, drying processes, or providing localized heat in manufacturing processes.

Benefits: Infrared heaters are energy-efficient, offer rapid warmth, and provide a comfortable, consistent heat without heating the entire air volume. They are also relatively low-maintenance and have a longer lifespan compared to some traditional heating systems.

In summary, infrared heaters provide efficient and effective heating by directly warming objects and people, making them suitable for a range of applications from homes to industrial environments.

These infrared heaters are made out of ceramics. These emitters have a Nichrome (NiCr) wire directly casted into ceramic and they produce temperatures upto 750 Deg C. They feature a glazed surfaced to avoid for protection from oxidation and corrosion. A thermocouple can be casted directly into the ceramic. Ceramic infrared heat elements are efficient, robust heaters which provide long wave infrared radiation. Ceramic infrared heaters are 96% infrared energy efficient.
Our ceramic infrared heaters (emitters) are manufactured with three basic emitter faces: Concave, Flat and Convex. The concave surface will emit a “concentrated” radiant pattern which is highly effective when zone heating is desired as well as radiant heating in general. Flat surface emitters will produce a “uniform” pattern for even heating at a close proximity between the emitter and the target being heated. The ceramic heaters and infrared heaters are used in a diverse range of industrial and engineering applications such as thermoforming heaters, packaging and as heaters for paint curing, printing and drying. They are also used very
effectively in infrared outdoor heaters and infrared saunas.
