Ceramic Band Heater consists of helically wound resistance coil which is of Nickel chrome wire. This coil is passed through holes in specially designed ceramic insulators in such a way that coil is evenly stretched and the flexible ceramic heating mat is formed. This mat is covered with insulating fibre wool for eliminating heat emission on an outer side of the band. Stainless steel housing is used to enclose the heating mat along with insulating wool. This makes the heater very flexible and very easy to install.
        The transmission of heat is by conduction and radiation.The element winding is designed to heat the ceramic channel to the point at which they radiate energy into the barrel as well as conduct energy by being in contact with the barrel - fit is not as critical as in other types of bands.
